How the rank works
Fitbuild is an independent decision helper. We are not the vendors. The score is an editorial weight, not a benchmark and not a user review. Data checked 2026-10-19.
Building counts 8, budget counts 7, where you want to work counts 7, and skill counts 6. Each factor is scored 0 to 5. The fit number on a result is that total scaled to 100.
Budget only counts individual plans with a confirmed dollar price that a general reader can buy. Team plans are displayed and ignored by the quiz. A plan whose dollar amount we could not confirm, such as ChatGPT Go, stays in the table with a Verify badge and does not count toward the budget, so a rumor cannot win the under-$10 question. A real price that only some people can buy, such as a student discount, is shown the same way: on the tool page, and out of the general match.
A plan can be marked Verify and still count, when a price is on the public page but the surrounding discount or limit is messy. Replit's Core card is the example. The result tells you to confirm it before you pay.
Project scores are allowed to be low. Mobile apps and games stay low on purpose, because none of these products publish a native app or replace a game engine. The page says "honest limit" instead of dressing up the closest tool as a specialist.
Comparison pages, use-case pages, and the quiz all use the same checked prices.
